Day Eleven.

Do you see any difference in Michael?  If you don't, its the HAIR!!!  I only wanted a little of it cut off, more like just a trim, but Crystal SHAVED IT!  I cried...  I miss his hair already!

Day Ten.

Well, yesterday my mom was on the computer all day again, so I didn't get a chance to put my picture up.  This is me, watching over my yard sale.  It wasn't a very good day for a yard sale, because all morning it looked like it was going to rain, but it didn't.  My sister sold a couple of her carebears, but I didn't sell anything.  I did get $5 though.  A couple came looking for the husband some shirts (which of course I didn't have), but they found my sister later in the day and told her to "give your mom this money", which of course was supposed to be me (everyone that doesn't know my family thinks I'm the mom because I have been very involved in my siblings' lives (including school).

Day Nine.

I finally bought my homecoming ticket!  I'm so excited!!!  This year's theme is Deep Blue Sea, if you can't tell what the ticket says.  This is my senior year, so I want to make this a good night out for me.  I have my dress and my ticket, now to get some shoes before September 18!

Day Eight.

Today I had a WIC appointment.  I got home around 6, instead of 4.  As soon as I get home, I see my sister in the yard crying, so I ask her what happened.  Our cousins decided to beat her up today.  She had a black eye and marks on her arms and back.  I was so frustrated!

Day Seven.

This is me and Casey on the bus.  We were goofing around, and I finally got her to take a picture with me, after I almost made her have a heart attack from laughing so much (if thats possible!)  I just noticed how much she looks like her momma!

Day Six.

I have had a long day today.  Mikey's grandma (Kevin's mom) was supposed to be watching him today so Kevin could get his stuff from his sister's house.  Long story short, he fell on the concrete face first!  I was so mad when i saw it!  Anyways, this is a picture of Mikey eating chili pie for the fist time.  I think he liked it!

Day Five.

We are getting ready for the Dow Annual Yard Sale this week!  I'm really excited to get rid of all the clothes I don't want and that Michael has outgrown.  Today, I had Kevin, my sister Emily, and brother Gary do some yard work to get ready for the yard sales Friday and Saturday, while Michael and I were in the front yard playing with his new tractor.  After I got him down for a nap, I finally got to get the living room carpet steam cleaned.  I was very excited to get that done, its been a while since I've had time to do that!

Day Four.

We went to Kevin's mom's house for Labor Day today.  Wayne and Allen barbecued and I helped with all 9 kids!  I had to chase down a 14 month old (Alex), a 15 month old (Mikey) and a 23 month old (Kammy) while holding a 7 month old (Liza) just to wash them off after eating icecream!  Okay, back to the picture, this is Mikey riding one of those toys for toddlers.  I think this is a very cute picture. Oh, and he got new shoes from Aunt Angel!

Day Three.

Kevin was watching a movie and Michael decided to turn the T.V off.  Kevin kinda laughed, and used the remote to turn it back on.  Of course, Michael notice it turned on "by itself" and looks at it for a minute before turning it back off.  Kevin says, "hey Mikey, I was watching that!" as he turns it back on.  Michael laughs at him and turns it off again!  It was too funny!

Day Two.

Our first half day!  I was so excited because not only was today a half day, but we also have a three day weekend!  This is me and my friend Ashley waiting for our buses to get to the school.  I tried to get my friend Casey to get in the picture too, but she doesn't like her picture being taken.  It was really windy today, so my hair was everyewhere, as you can see.  I'm very grateful for the friends that are still talking to me, they are some of my best support and part of the reason I even go back every week.

My New Day One!

I got the new camera I have been waiting for, and I was so excited to take a picture when I went with my grandma to get a homecoming dress.  Long story short, this was NOT a fun night for me at all.  Nothing I do is ever good enough for my family!

day twenty-two.

This is a picture of Michael at church this morning.  I took this picture, and right after I did, Kevin walked away, and Michael tried to get down, and i jumped to catch him.  When I did, i dropped my camera!  Now its broke, so I'm probably done with the 365 day photo challenge!  I'm so sad...  Maybe I can get an early birthday present (a new camera), but i doubt it.

day twenty-one.

I completed my first correspondence test!  Only four more to go!  And once again, probably not the most interesting thing to you ladies, but its an accomplishment in my eyes and I'm very excited about it.  Now to mail it off and hope I passed so I don't have to redo it, but I'm pretty sure I did well.

day twenty.

My first homework assignment!  I thought I would be at least a little excited to have homework again, but I'm really not.  Oh well, only one more year and im done! (with high school anyways).  This is my algebra, the only teacher in almost the whole school giving out homework this early.

day nineteen.

Today was my first day of school!  I have been waiting for this day and it finally came, but Michael cried when I got ready to leave, so my day started off kind of crapy, but got better.  This is a picture of my cousin Katie and I outside of the high school.  This is the first picture me and Katie have taken since freshmen year.  I was going to use a picture of me and my two friends Callie and Krista at lunch, but they went out without me (thats what I was afraid of this whole time).

day eighteen.

Today has not been a very good day for me.  We got our water AND electricity turned off, but on the bright side, I finally got my graphing calculator.  These stupid things cost over $100 new, so I decided to go to Ebay and see if i could get one cheaper... found this one for $25, but it doesn't work!  I guess thats why it was so cheap, but I think I'm going to take it in to school and see if my algebra teacher can find out whats wrong with it, and if not, I will have to get a new one or borrow one from the school for $40. 

day seventeen.

This is a picture of my correspondence books and papers i have to fill out and mail back.  I'm very excited to finally get this stuff and get started, but I didn't think there would be this much to go through!  I want to get it done in five weeks, so hopefully with school starting Thursday, I will be able to get it all done.  I know this and a lot of the other things I have posted are not going to be very exciting for you ladies, and i apologize for that, but it's all very exciting for me because it's kind of a sign to me that I'm getting my life back on track and I'm going to make everything better for my family.  It makes me so proud of myself to see that I'm moving forward and doing what needs to be done.

day sixteen.

Today Kevin's mom and step dad Allen picked us up so I could get the rest of my brother and sister's school supplies since we barely had anything for them and school starts this Thursday.  I didn't take a picture while shopping because it's my "time of the month" and I'm very cranky, so I took a picture in the van on the way home.  This is Michael and his Aunt Tiffany.  Tiffany was trying to stay out of the picture but I tricked her.  I still think it's a cute picture though!

day fifteen.

Well, today I had problems posting my picture.  I don't know why, but it would not let me publish it, or I would have had this done a long time ago.  Anyways, this is a picture of my son Michael.  Kevin and I took him to my aunt's house to get in the sprinkler.  He had a blast!  He would run into the water, then laugh and run back out, then do it all over again.  It was so adorable and I just couldn't keep myself from laughing at him.  He even tried to get one of my aunt's kittens to join in the fun, but it ran away, but he didn't mind playing alone.

day fourteen.

Today we had a birthday party for my Aunt Nancy and Aunt Kay.  They are not twins (actually, Kay is the oldest of seven and Nancy is the youngest) but their birthdays are close so we just celebrate them together.  This year, we had the party at Nancy's house just to make it easier on everyone.  This is one of the two birthday cakes we had today.

day thirteen.

Today is a lazy day.  We have absolutely nothing to do today, and thats very surprising!  So my picture for today is Michael playing with one of his new toys.  He is now trying to figure out how to put things together and stacking things.  It amazes me how much he learns in just one day.

day twelve.

I got more clothes from Ebay, and finally got my boots!  I was so excited to see my boots here, but they forgot one of the jackets, so that should be here in a couple days.  Only a week until school starts, and I'm getting very excited to be in school again.  Now to go through my closet and try to make more room..... AGAIN!  This is going to be the fourth time I have to go through my closet, but most of the stuff I'm getting rid of is too big for me anyways.  All the pants and shorts I've been getting recently have been anywhere from size 0-4, the stuff I got right after having Michael are sizes 5-7!

day eleven.

Today I went to Kevin's mom's house while he helped his sister get thinkgs moved out of her house (shes moving) and it was too hot for me and mikey so we hung out in the air conditioned house.  This picture was after the kids went crazy and took out almost every toy they could find.  I just got the older two (Megan,4 and Jacob,3) settled down watching t.v and mikey decided to join (hes the one in brown).  I thought this was the cutest picture I could get the whole time i was there, so this is the one I wanted to share!

day ten.

Today one of my sets of clothes from Ebay came in.  I was so excited thinking it was the one with the pair of snow boots, but it wasn't.  There were some nice clothes in there though, so within the next few days, I should be getting my other clothes from Ebay.  Only nine more days until school starts, so I hope I have all my clothes by then, and hopefully i get some shorts!  Out of all the stuff I have gotten, I got maybe three pairs of shorts.

day nine.

Today my grandma took me shopping at JC Penney for school clothes.  I didn't take any pictures inside because we were so busy shopping, so I took my picture outside walking to the car.  It's been a long time since i spent quality time just with grandma, so this was a really fun time.  I even got a new purse!  And for the first time, I got some skinny jeans!  I have never liked the skinny jeans, but my grandma talked me into it, and they looked pretty nice on me... who would have known?

day eight.

My mom was on the computer all day yesterday, so i didn't get a chance to post my picture, but I did take one.  Anyways, this is a picture of Michael holding one of our little kittens.  They are just starting to open their eyes, so I thought I would let Michael see them.  He absolutely loved them little things!  It was so cute, he would start crawling away, turn and look at them and yell "heyyy!" because he wanted them to follow him.

day seven.

Today Kevin's mom and two sisters took  me to a church that was giving clothes away.  I got me, Michael, and Kevin some clothes, but they didn't have anything that would fit my brother or sister, so i couldn't get them anything today.  As you can see, I got three bags and one big box full of clothes, so I did pretty good today.

day six.

Today Kevin and I took Michael for a walk, and I decided to take him to a corn field for the first time.  As you can see, he loved it.  We wanted him to look at the camera for the picture, but he was too interested in the corn.  I think someday he is going to be a farmer...  Farmer Mikey!!!

day five.

My brother and I went to get registered for school today, so i thougt i would put a pic of me and him at the school during registration.  Of course, he wouldn't cooperate, but thats okay, i just needed a picture!  It took us about two hours to get all three of us kids signed up for school, so its been a long day, but it's all worth it to get back in school so I can provide for my family one day.
P.S.  If you didn't notice, me and my brother look a lot alike and me and Emily don't.  Me and Gary have the same dad and Emily has a different dad.

day four.

Today we finally got our air conditioner!  We have been waiting a long time for this and hopefully it makes it cooler.  We were at Kevin's mom Linda's house all day waiting to get this, but this is the biggest thing that happened today, so I thought I would make it my picture for the day.

day three.

The last two days my sister Emily was in the picture (shes a camera hog), but not today.  Today it was super hot, so we went out to play in Michael's pool.  I tanned a little bit then got in the pool with Michael, and my sister, trying to get in the picture, put my dog Lilly Ann in the pool, surprisingly, she didn't mind it.

day two.

Today my grandma sent some new pillows for me and my sister.  We got them all out of the plastic wrap they came in, put them on the floor (because we know how much Michael loves pillows) and he put one on Emily's head and.... well, you can see what he did to poor Aunt Emily!

day one.

Today, I went to my sister's VBS (vacation bible school) to watch her perform.  Afterwards, they had a little lunch for us and let the kids do all kinds of fun games, such as the bounce house, and let me tell you, the bounce house seemed a lot more fun when i was younger! this is a picture of me, my son Michael, and my sister Emily in the bounce house.
P.S. Emily is supposed to be a puppy (she got her face painted!)

why am i doing this?

i just wanted to see how much things in life change in just a year.   before i had my son, i dont think i would have ever done anything like this, but now that i have him, and i look at the pictures of that 4 pound 12 ounce baby i knew a year ago, to the 20 something pound baby i look at now, it makes me think a lot about how things change so quickly.
